School hygiene
Under the name “School Hygiene”, we are grouping together several projects that focus on basic hygiene education in existing schools, but also on improving hygiene conditions in schools.
In collaboration with our local partners, we are building school toilets, which are generally lacking, and developing a concept for maintaining hygienic conditions with headteachers, parents and school authorities. The aim is to anchor this educational work in the local curriculum and extend it to the whole of Guinea in the long term. In this way, we are helping to keep pupils in good health and hope to have a multiplier effect on household hygiene. Sanoyah is our pilot school.
